A Glasgow based activity company pleaded guilty to a breach of health and safety legislation leading to the death of a child on the River Tay in 2019.
This incident and prosecution highlights the importance of providers
- adequately assessing and controlling the risks of the activities they provide, in the locations at which they provide them
- having appropriate competence to understand and manage the risks and deploy appropriate instructors/leaders
