Robbie grew up messing around in boats on the Norfolk coast. Having preferred the outdoors to more academic studies, Robbie completed a Diploma in Outdoor Activities course at college. Following this Robbie worked abroad for various holiday companies before starting in a large Local Authority centre and then taking on the role of Chief Instructor at a commercial provider.
Robbie worked freelance for a number of years for a variety of providers, delivering programmes of activity for FE students and running activity ranging from introductory sessions through to instructor training, during this time Robbie completed a Certificate in Education.
Robbie has worked for the RYA for 14 years, supporting clubs and centres in the East Region.
Robbie is an RYA Sailing Scheme Trainer and Advanced Powerboat Trainer, a keen sailor and dinghy racer and more recently has taken up kitesurfing.
