David has been working as an outdoor professional for over twenty years after gaining a passion for climbing and mountaineering whilst volunteering with a youth association and in a school.
David has worked as a paddlesports Instructor, Chief Instructor and Outdoor Adventurous Activities Manager as well as being an Approved Activity Provider for the expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme. For the last ten years he has worked as a freelance instructor working for multiple organisations, extensively as a Technical Expert within the climbing sector and is a Provider and Director for all of the Mountain Training indoor climbing qualifications.
David is a passionate climber, has a degree in English Literature and alongside a busy professional life tries to make as much time as possible to see his daughters and granddaughter.
